Comparative Intelligence Research Infrastructure
Titre du projet
Comparative Intelligence Research Infrastructure
Description
CIRI stands for Comparative Intelligence Research Infrastructure (dt. Netzwerk Tierintelligenz, fr. Réseau d’intelligence animale) with the purpose of connecting zoos with researchers wishing to pursue non-invasive, behavioural and cognitive animal studies. CIRI, part of the NCCR Evolving Language and established by the University of Neuchâtel, provides a secure, searchable database to facilitate such research collaborations. Further, CIRI invests into research equipment and infrastructure to promote studies of animal cognition in zoo environments. It is open to NCCR-affiliated and third-party researchers of all levels wanting to conduct their data collection at a CIRI-affiliated zoo. Zoo curators can offer projects through the CIRI network and benefit from innovative research and science communication at their zoo.
